What is a digital vernier caliper?

A digital caliper is an advanced precision instrument or caliper component that can measure in milliseconds. This caliper is an automatic type that allows you to check the measured value numerically on the digital screen.

How to use Digital Vernier?

Digital calipers are all about digital systems, no explicit observation is required, division matches to find the value. Instead, simply place the components in the desired positions for the various measurements.

A digital Vernier caliper can measure the outside diameter, inside diameter, depth and step of a part. As with a regular caliper, to find the outer diameter you need to place the component between the lower jaws as shown in the image below. A digital system calculates the diameter and displays it on the screen.

To find the inner diameter, you need to place the component over his two jaws on top. Once in place, you can see the measurements on the digital screen.

Similarly, you can use the shank of the caliper to measure the depth of the component, insert the shank into the hole in the component, and the digital system will calculate the dimensions according to the component and display them on the digital screen.

A step is a differential cut or reduction in diameter for a specific length as shown in the figure below.

Therefore, use the inner claw to find the step length of the "L" part.
